What is: The Spiritual / God Self

The spiritual self is that part of self that is turned inward towards the source of all. It is free from the mental and emotional baggage we carry within. It is in deep meditation and remembrance of the divine. It can be called the God Self or Higher Self. It is pure, peaceful, joyful, loving, wise and knowing. It contains the answers we have been seeking. It knows the greater truths of our life and our purpose. It knows that it is not the body, it is a spiritual being made of light.

The spiritual self can be reconnected to. It offers its loving wisdom and gentle healing nature. It can be called upon to channel its energies into this life, transforming all limitation, all sorrow, all pain. It is our divine friend and counselor that is in continual union with all.

How can we reconnect to the spiritual self? This requires a strong desire to do so. Through intention we are able to discover and then relinquish those internal obstacles that have blocked this remembrance. This occurs initially in the heart center. As the walls of the heart begin to be pulled down, a deepening remembrance of our God self occurs. As we walk onwards with courage and tenacity through the shadow side of our selves, we open the doorways to the God self deep within.

This spiritual awakening experience is most liberating and profound. It comes to us with both big aha’s and little increments. The life becomes more and more liberated, as we feel more and more love and joy. Our purpose begins to become apparent and opens up before us. An inner light illuminates our mind, bringing ever higher spirals of clarity, truth and knowledge. The spiritual realms begin to be revealed little by little.

It is important to acknowledge that everyone’s path is unique. Each person has their own time table for awakening. They have contracts and agreements on both sides of the veil. These contracts include intersecting with particular people, places and events that trigger healing, opening and awakening.

Although I had many spiritual experiences as a child, my adult spiritual awakening truly started in the late 1980’s. It was triggered by many powerful events in my life. These included great life changing spiritual events and major upheaval in my life. Over the years this has lead me further and further down the path of the heart, into the God self. It is a continual processes of unfolding, experiencing, deepening and elevating. My life continues to transform in miraculous ways. Each day I become more and more of who I really am, not what I thought I was.

I have had the good fortune to observe the awakening process in many peoples lives. Although individual in experience, there are several sign posts along the way. ( This represent only part of the path I have observed). People tend to experience:

1. Dissatisfaction with the self and life

2. Life changing mystical and spiritual experiences

3. A hunger and thirst for spiritual knowledge (study and reading)

4. Major chaos in the life

5. A willingness to heal opens (begin to action knowledge)

6. Change in relationships, friendships, career etc

7. Walking the healing path and the death of the old way

8. Opening to the divine and blossoming of the new way

9. Spiritual / God self reconnection

10. Begin to live from the Spiritual / God Self

11. Spiritual higher qualities reintegrate into the life

12. Life purpose and soul mission realized

13. Action life purpose

14. Hearing, feeling and knowing the God Self

15. And so it continues.
