An Introduction to Stress Reduction


Imagine a life that is peaceful, loving and joyful, where your mind is calm and still; your body healthy and strong; your spirit guiding you; your life purposeful and deeply meaningful to you. Imagine becoming a master of your thoughts and feelings, fulfilling your purpose in life and learning the lessons that are being presented to you. Imagine learning the tools, techniques and practices that can simply and most effectively liberate you.  


A certain amount of stress is natural to the human condition. Yet when you notice your stress levels rising more and more frequently, it can suggest an internal imbalance or behavioral pattern that requires your attention. This naturally tends to negatively impact your career, relationships and state of well-being. Symptoms may include feeling tired or burnt out; frustrated or irritable; un-focused or indecisive; wound-up or tense; restless or sleeping poorly. Or perhaps you have lost your motivation and direction; vision and purpose; focus and concentration; meaning and value. There are two principal perspectives that can help reduce stress in your life.


Mind Body Stress Management: Teaches you empowering tools, techniques and practices that help you more effectively manage stress in your daily life. It helps you identify those mental, emotional, environmental and behavioral patterns that perpetuate stress in your life. For most of us stress is a mental, emotional and physical response to an outside event. This event triggers what can be called your “inner stressors.” Inner stressors are those underlying causes of the disturbance and tension experienced in the mind and body.


Stress is always telling you something about your self. It can be looked upon as a helpful feedback loop. When you are willing to look within, the messages of the mind, body and spirit are revealed to you. They often show an inner conflict to you. This conflict is comprised of negativity, misperception, misaligned thoughts and suppressed emotions. They tend to be made of unworthiness, powerlessness, suffering, pain, fear and more. They are always in conflict with what you truly want, your mission and purpose in this life, the lessons to be learned and the guidance of your spirit deep inside.  


Processes help you free yourself from the underlying causes of stress, while helping you reconnect to your authentic nature and your higher aspirations and goals in this life. Your inner stressors then begin to dissipate, no longer triggered by outside events, thus quite naturally reducing stress in your life.
